Our January/2017 membership meeting was held on January 11, at the West Branch Library, on 83rd Street, between State Avenue and Parallel.  Networking began at 11:30 and the meeting/lunch at 12:00 noon.  We had the installation of board/officers for 2017.  Our speaker was Jerry Jones, Executive Director of the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, who provided an overview of their Health Equity Action Transformation (H.E.A.T.) project. Three years in the making, including a partnership with The Kirwin Institute for the Study of Race & Ethnicity at The Ohio State University, this presentation will provide a new lens with which to view Wyandotte County & some of the challenges we face.
